This is where my fiance proposed to me. I love her so much. It's a cliche but she really is my other half and I feel grateful everyday to have her in my life. Sometimes I feel like she knows me better than I know myself.

There might be rough days ahead for the LGBTQ community given all the things going on politically. I like to see the light in this being that now is a time, the time in fact, for us to come together and to be stronger than ever. 

We aren't going to stop being queer. We aren't going to stop laughing together, kissing, holding hands in public, and being proud about who we are. There is power in love. There is power in community.

Stay strong, support each other, and be yourself.

Happy Valentine's Day to my most favourite human!

Love, like baking, sometimes doesn't happen exactly how you expect. Maybe you live thousands of miles from each other. Maybe you don't get to see each other as much as you wish you did. Maybe your cookie glitter icing melts into a weird swirl and then you put more on and then some chocolate heart candies and as it cools and there is a hole in part of it. None of this you could plan for. 

Luckily, none of that matters. Because it's all sweet.

Someone ran a stop sign and smashed into my car.

They put me on a stretcher in the hospital and wouldn't let me move for almost half a day. 

BUT THEN 

super fantastical awesome friends came to the rescue and took care of my dog, texted me to see if I was alright, car stuff, etc.
Feel grateful to know such awesome, caring, thoughtful people and to have them in my life.
